Cleaning Laminated Wood Flooring

Cleaning Laminated Wood Flooring is easy as pie! Laminated flooring was made for modern families and the more kids and spills, the better.  Cleaning Laminated Wood Flooring is much less time consuming, and is so easy compared to other types of flooring because of the thick plastic which covers the floor.  It is this layer of plastic coating which makes this type of laminated flooring a breeze to care for!

When Cleaning Laminated Wood Flooring, stay away from the high priced detergents and abrasive cleansers. They are NOT for cleaning laminated wood flooring.  The plastic coating actually repels spills and dirt, so all you have to most of the time is sweep the dust.

*For weekly cleaning, simply mop with ammonia or a mixture of vinegar and water.

*Do not use conventional soap-based cleaners. If possible, look for citrus-based cleaners.

*For simple spills use a damp cloth or some spray window cleaner.

*Never use scouring powder, steel wool or wax strippers on a laminate floor, they will scratch the topcoat of plastic.

*Never wax, sand or apply lacquer to a laminate floor surface. (see above)

*If you're unsure of using any product on your laminate floor, test it in an inconspicuous area first - such as underneath your stove or fridge.
