Cobblestone Wood Flooring

If you’re looking for a unique style of flooring, try cobblestone wood flooring.  Cobblestone wood flooring has that special flavor of old time in the “cobblestone” appearance that it has, and works wonderfully in a home decorated in country style, or a room with antiques, or simply in contrast with your modern decor.

Cobblestone wood flooring is made similar to the engineered wood flooring.  In manufacturing they take layers of thinly sliced wood and either glue them together or laminate them to form thicker planks of wood.  The top layer of these planks is then sanded, shaved or buffed into whatever design is desired.  Cobblestone wood flooring can have square shapes in different wood tones that look like a brick pattern laid out in the flooring. The squares, rectangles or round shapes are stained the different shades.  The texture pattern is achieved in the sanding and brushing, and there are many styles to choose from – and many colors of the stains and wood tones to compliment that style.

The end result, with a coat of finish and wax over the top, is a unique style of flooring which is referred to as cobblestone wood flooring because the designs resemble bricks or cobblestones. There are even pre-selected shapes in the wood flooring, such as a circular or Indian design, which are available.
